National Study Ranks Kentucky Unhealthy

A national study of health rankings has listed Kentucky near the bottom.

A report from America’s Health Rankings from the United Health Foundation ranks Kentucky 41st in the country in a wide range of health issues.

The factors include physical and mental health with the Commonwealth ranking high for obesity factors that can lead to diabetes.

Kentucky also ranks high for occupational fatalities with coal mine work being associated with occupational illness.

Doctors recommend an adjustment to healthy diet and lifestyle habits to change trends.
