The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office was investigating a traffic accident with injuries and wound up making a major drug bust.
The accident occurred at the mouth of Daniel’s Creek when the officer smelled marijuana and started more of an investigation that led to the arrest of Thomas Slone of Lawrence County.
Police found bags of pot with paraphernalia, 82 jars of Dab, handguns, and cash.
Slone was taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center with a $2,500 cash bond, which was posted on December 20.
