H.S. Fishing Regional Tournament


The Johnson Central High School Bass Fishing Team competed in the KHSAA Region 4 Bass Fishing Tournament at Herrington Lake in Harrodsburg, Ky on Saturday April 26, 2025. Despite muddy and elevated water level, the team fish hard and never quit trying to capture their 6th Regional Championship.

Individual Results:

Austin Slone and Brent Hall – 1st Place and Regional Champions and Winner of the Big Fish Award. Total weight 15lbs. 5 oz and Big Fish weighed 4 lbs. 11oz.

Nathan Meadows and Brayden Reed – 16th place with 5 fish weighing 7lbs 2 oz.
Dylan Peck and Trey Davis – 22nd Place with 3 fish weighing 5 lbs.12 oz.
Gabe Bkackburn and Parker Meeks – 23rd Place with 3 fish weighing 5lbs.10oz.
Andrew Frazier and Malechi Blanton – 38th Place with 2 fish weighing 3 lbs.0oz.

Johnson Central Qualified 2 boats to participate in the 2025 KHSAA BASS FISHING STATE TOURNAMENT held at Lake Cumberland on Friday, May 9th and Saturday, May 10th 2025.

State Qualifying Boats are:

Nathan Meadows and Brayden Reed – JCHS
