Structure Closure on KY-580 in Johnson County

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises the public of a structure closure along KY 580 in Johnson County. The structure is located at mile point 1.7 at the intersection of KY 580 and KY 40.

Out of an abundance of caution, KYTC determined the need for the closure due to structural concerns after inspection. Our top priority is the safety of the driving public.

Barricades have been placed at each end of the structure to prevent traffic flow. Motorists can use US 460 and KY 40 through Oil Spings as alternate routes. The roadway, KY 580, connects between KY 40 and US 460, and serves about 320 vehicles a day.

KYTC will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
