Hunter Education Classes Offered Across Kentucky Ahead Of Fall Seasons

Kentucky Fish and Wildlife is offering new hunters a chance to prepare for the upcoming hunting seasons with a statewide Hunter Education Day on August 1st.

More than 30 in-person classes and live-fire range days will be held across the state, including a course at the Magoffin County Extension Office in Salyersville.

Another eastern Kentucky course will be offered August fifteenth in Pikeville.

The free classes cover topics including firearm safety, hunter ethics, wildlife conservation, first aid, and field care of game.

Registration is required, and participants must be at least nine years old.
