UPDATE: The identity of a man found dead along a Rowan County roadway is being identified.
On Wednesday afternoon, the body of 41-year-old William Manning was found along Rock Fork Road.
The coroner’s office is working to determine Manning’s cause of death, but say at this time no foul play is suspected.

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man was found dead near a roadway yesterday afternoon.
Authorities say a motorist reported the body along Rock Fork Road shortly after noon.
The 41-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
His name is being withheld until family members are notified.
