There will not be sales of malt beverages in Inez on Sundays.
The Mountain Citizen reported that a request made by the owner of Tobacco Plus went before the Inez Commission with a request to allow sales at his store, but it was denied.
During a city meeting on Thursday, Jason Hammond said that allowing Sunday sales would prevent his customers from having to travel to Warfield and would keep purchases within the city.
Hammond told commissioners that he now closes his store on Sundays to prevent customer disappointment, but his request was denied.
