No wide loads from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. due to drilling equipment
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of daytime closures and long delays along KY 581 in Johnson County for embankment repairs. The work site is located at MP 6.8 (.12 miles South of KY 3224) in the River area.
Work will occur July 9 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. During this time, crews will drill and repair embankments. Motorists can expect long delays and one-lane traffic when the drilling equipment is in use. A daytime closure may be necessary in areas where the road is narrow. No wide loads will be able to pass due to the size of the equipment. Motorists should seek an alternate route, especially during peak travel times. Emergency Vehicles will be accommodated. Work is expected to take one to two days to complete
