James Chadwick Burchett, of Floyd County, has been indicted by a grand jury for assaulting his wife and holding her prisoner.
Burchett was arrested on July 28th after the Highlands ARH Medical Center called about an alleged assault.
The woman described her ordeal to the police saying Burchett had accused her of cheating on him then hit her the head, held a knife to her throat, and threated to kill her.
It is alleged that Burchett screwed two doors shut to keep her from leaving.
She managed to escape after 11 hours.
