A former Pike County teacher has been arrested on allegations of trying to engage minors in sexual activity over the internet.
The Appalachian News Express reports Zackery Hill of Pikeville was indicted last month by a grand jury but the indictment was sealed until he was arrested Wednesday.
The charges stem from incidents in 2023 involving two different children.
Hill was a teacher, softball coach, bus driver and test proctor at Shelby Valley High School.
He has since resigned.
Prosecutors allege the incidents happened while he was with the school but have not said if students were involved.
