Johnson County will host a waste tire collection event coming up on April 9th, 10th and 11th.
This will provide residents a free way to dispose of old tires.
Judge Executive Mark McKenzie says the event will take place at the county’s industrial property in Hager Hill.
The effort is in partnership with the Kentucky Division of Waste Management and only takes place once every three years.
The program is open to residents and businesses within Johnson County.
However, tire retailers, scrapyards, and recycling businesses are not eligible to participate.
The event will run Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
The location is 441 Industrial Park Road in Hager Hill.
