Man Charged in Fatal Pike County Crash Rejects Plea Deal, Seeks Venue Change

A West Virginia man facing charges for a fatal crash in Pike County two years ago has rejected a plea deal and wants his case moved out of the area.

Chad Blackburn is charged with DUI, vehicular homicide, assault, and more for the 2024 crash on U.S. 119 that claimed the life of Linda Wright and injured her husband, Raleigh Wright.

WYMT reports that following his rejection of mediation, Blackburn is heading for a jury trial but his next court appearance in May will be to hear a motion to request a change of venue.

He is being held in the Pike County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
