The Boyd County Sheriff’s Department took a Martin County man into custody Friday night.
A news release stated that Dennis D. Maynard was in an incident Friday night at the intersection of US Highway 23 and Porter Road where Maynard is alleged to have fired shots.
When deputies arrived, two people on the side of the road said they were inside a vehicle when Maynard allegedly began firing his gun inside of the vehicle.
The victims stopped the vehicle and took off running on foot while shots were being fired at them.
