Drivers urged to use caution, reduce speeds in active work zones
An ongoing lane shift is scheduled along the Mountain Parkway in Wolfe County starting today, April 18, near the Hazel Green (KY 1010) interchange.
Both lanes of the parkway will be shifted onto the westbound side ramps and then back to the main roadway.
This traffic pattern change will be in place for several months.
Message boards and detour signs are in place along KY 1010 and the parkway to alert drivers.
Police officers will also be on site initially to help control traffic and monitor speeds.
Drivers should use caution when traveling through active work zones.
Construction schedules may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events.
