Pikeville Medical Center has gotten some laurels from the Kentucky Hospital Association.
The KHA held their annual Quality Awards last month to highlight innovative programs and positive outcomes in improving patient care across the state.
PMC was honored for their safety in the Acute Care Hospital category for the way they have organized staff into a special team to control sepsis and watch how antibiotics are used.
Officials say the recognition reflects PMC’s commitment to patient safety.
