A tip to police led to the arrest of Mathew Rogers Owens.
The Magoffin County Sheriff’s office is reporting that the tip said Owens was on his way to sell some meth.
Police found him at a Salyersville gas station and questioned him.
The deputies said when Owens exited the vehicle, they saw a square bulge in his pants.
The officers were informed by dispatch that Owens had warrants from Ohio, and he was placed under arrest.
During a search deputies found meth and fentanyl.
While being transported to jail, Owens tried to get out of his cuffs with a handcuff key hidden in one of his hands.
