Drivers who use the Mountain Parkway between Stanton and Slade in Powell County should prepare for a brief road closure on Sunday morning, June 1.
In order to allow for repairs to be made to three overhead cables, rolling roadblocks will be in effect between 8 and 9 a.m. between milepoints 25 and 30..
Law enforcement personnel will be on site to assist with traffic control. Signs will be in place to alert drivers of the closure. Closures should not exceed 15 minutes at each location.
The exact locations of the work are milepoints 25.6, 26.9, and 29.7.
Drivers may wish to detour between Exit 22 at Stanton and Exit 33 at Slade via KY 213 and KY 11/KY 15.
