The University of Pikeville will join in the fight against the number one killer of women in the state that is heart disease.
U-Pike has announced they have received a grant of $154,000.
The grant will go toward research at the university.
“The research,” Ooten said, “could potentially even find solutions that are used worldwide to save women’s lives.”
